#1365 Rabbi Berland’s Prayer To Connect To The Burning Fiery Flame
Master of the world who can do anything, from whom nothing is withheld, may I merit in preparing to light the Hanukah candle, “each man and his household”, may I merit to ignite the fire of Hanukah in my heart.
And all my 248 limbs and 365 sinews will turn into fiery flames, flame x2 = 248.
And may I merit to be like our forefather Avraham, whose entire 248 limbs and 365 sinews turned into fiery flames, and flames of fire, like Devorah the wife of Lapidot, whose entire body, her 248 limbs and her 365 sinews, turned into fiery flames and like Rabbi Zeira, who each 30 days would sit in a bonfire of fire and learn Torah.
And may I merit like Sarah, Rivka, Rachel and Leah, whose candles never went out ever, and every erev Shabbat before dusk they would need to extinguish their candles, in order to light them anew.
And that’s how they acted all the days of their lives, Sarah 127 years, Rivka 133 years, Rachel 38 years, and Leah 45 years, and until the day of their death and passing from this world, merited revealed wonders and miracles, that no pure child in the world has merited, more than all the miracles of Hanukah, and more than all the miracles in the world.
But the greatness of the miracles of Hanukah is that is was a miracle for all Am Yisrael, whereas the miracle for Sarah, Rachel, Rivka and Leah were only for a private individual.
So too may we all together merit the miracles of Hanukah, “each man and his household”, at every moment and second, all the days of our lives, for us and our offspring, and our offspring’s offspring, grandchildren and great grandchildren until the end of all the generations.
