The Reason that Yosef Did Not Say to His Father that His Brothers Sold Him – Daily Shiur

The Daily Shiur of Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit”a, from Sunday, Parshat Yitro, the night of 19 Shevat, after Maariv:

Every day, twenty-one killed [at the time of the shiur].  This is all because not all the girls have lengthened their dresses yet.  And every girl needs to break her Xiaomi.  Every girl should break her Xiaomi, and then there will be a pillar of fire upon every girl.

Like during [the period of] the First Temple and Second Temple, that upon every girl who went to the Temple there was a pillar of fire and torches of fire surrounded her.  And she would know through prophecy everything that happens in the world.  You don’t need to hear a Xiaomi or smartphone.  She knew everything that happens in the world through prophecy.

Like Serach bat Asher, who knew that Yosef was alive.  Therefore, they put Asher in excommunication for the 210 years they were in Egypt; and for another forty years in the desert, Asher was in excommunication.  Why did he reveal to his daughter all the secrets?  Because it’s forbidden to reveal that Yosef is alive.  Whoever would reveal that Yosef is alive would die on the spot.  Therefore, Yosef didn’t meet with his father all seventeen years [that Yaakov was in Egypt], except for the first time and the last time, so that his father would not ask what happened.  His father thought that Hamas kidnapped him [i.e. not his brothers].

Because Yosef was one of the hostages; for 22 years, he was one of the hostages.  Dina was among the hostages, and Achinoam the Jezreelite was among the hostages, and Avigail the Carmelite was among the hostages.  So it is that we have a long list of men and women hostages, in addition to the 136 that there are today.  And David himself was among the hostages, and Avishai couldn’t care less about the Hag or anyone.  He entered Rafah and freed him [David], despite it being forbidden; according to international law, it was forbidden… So Avishai said the explicit Name and entered Rafah and freed him.

So the moment that every girl breaks her Xiaomi, wears long dresses, she will fly in the air.  Like [the women] from Tzippori, who would fly in the air.  During the entire Second Temple, they would fly in the air, from Meron, from Tzippori, from Kfar Shamai; they would fly in the air and return before the sun would shine on the fig trees.  They would pray Vatikin (at sunrise) in the Temple.  In the Second Temple, there already was Vatikin, there already was the Amidah.  Every day, they prayed the Amidah, three prayers.

Because it is written in Halachah that a girl needs to pray all three prayers, because this is a Rabbinic commandment.  Wherever there is a Rabbinic commandment, there is no [application] of a positive commandment dependent on time (mitzvat aseh shehazman grama), and a girl is obligated.  Once, there were no washing machines, no drying machines, but today where there are washing machines and everything is automatic, a girl is idle for 24 hours.  So she needs three prayers a day – she is obligated.  Then there will be a pillar of fire and torches of fire upon her.  And we will merit to the complete redemption speedily in our days, Amen!
