Rabbi Berland’s Prayer For Women To Clear The ‘Head Fog’
The following is translated from Rabbi Eliezer Berland’s compendium of prayers in the Refuah Shleimah booklet. To get the prayer in the original Hebrew, you can buy the booklet HERE.
Master of the world, the most powerful of all powers, the Victor above all Victors, who can do anything and from whom nothing is withheld.
You can stop all of my headaches in the blink of an eye, so that I never have any more headaches ever, and my head will be open to learning Your Torah and to awe of You, and to educate my children and to listen to the voice of my husband, everything he says just so, and not veer from his will either left or right.
And through this may I merit to fulfill the verse, “Your eyes are presently focused and Your eyelids [look] direct towards You”.
And may all my thoughts be clear and pure.
And may I merit on account of this the most clear lights, and may I merit to reach the level of the holy Matriarchs, Sarah, Rivkah, Rachel and Leah, whose candles never went out ever, and blessing rested on their dough, and their tent was open on all sides to everyone who was passing.
So too, grant me the merit to be on their level, and the level of Miriam the prophetess whose well always flows, and the level of Devorah the prophetess who brought salvation to Israel, and who merited to sing on Mount Tavor, through breaking her arrogance in four aspects: towards Tzadikim, towards Beinonim (ordinary people), towards wicked people, and at her own level.
And so too may I merit to reach the level of Queen Esther who dressed in royalty, the Zohar says that an angel accompanied her, and when Achashverosh saw the angel his soul immediately flew away.
So too, grant me the merit that angels also accompany me on every step and path.
And may I merit to say a number of times a day, ‘on my right Michael, on my left, Gavriel, in front of me Uriel and behind me Rafael and above my head the holy Shechina.’
