GALLERY: Prayer Gathering for Release of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit”a – Nitzan Prison, Ramla

A mass prayer rally was held Tuesday outside Nitzan penitentiary in Ramla for the release of our Rebbe Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit”a.

Many participants came to the rally, among them the rabbis of the Shuvu Banim community: Rabbi Moshe Tzanani, Rabbi Meir Malka, Rabbi Ofer Erez, the kabbalist Rabbi Shlomo Elmeliach, Rabbi Shlomo Chaim Richter and many others.

The gathering was held outside the NItzan Prison in Ramla, where our Rebbe Rav Berland was transferred after his release from the hospital less than a week earlier. The gathering was held the day before the Rav’s important court hearing the following morning. The Rav at the age of 84 was cruelly arrested over a year ago without charge. Since then his trial has been put off over and over again while the Prosecutor’s office has tried to find something to charge him with.

At the gathering, seven Tikkun Clalli’s were said, along with the ‘Selected Chapters’ which Rav Berland shlit”a recently revealed. Afterwards, the children said in unison the song of the Breastplate [of the Kohen Gadol].
