Since the beginning of the war “Iron Swords,” Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland shlit”a has been talking about the importance of modesty.  Below is a prayer which the Rav has written on the subject of modest clothing:

Ribono Shel Olam — Master of the World, Who can do everything, that nothing can impede [Your] purpose from You, let me merit to burn and tear to shreds all my immodest clothing, because only in this way will our evil decree be torn up, because we have all been sold out to be annihilated, killed, and destroyed by our enemies and those who seek our harm.  Let me merit to be the most righteous and the holiest woman, that I will never cause others to stumble.  Please Hashem Echad, let me merit to be a true daughter of the King.  Let me merit to go with true modesty, and not with immodest dresses, that no organ of my body will be revealed.  Let me merit to throw away all the clothes which do not cover the entire length of the leg.  Pardon and forgive me that because of the lack of modesty with which I have gone until this moment, such horrible slaughtering and butchering occurred, that has not been since the time of the Holocaust 75 years ago.  Please Hashem, fulfill in us the verse, “See now, that I, I am He, and there is no god with Me; I put to death and revive, I struck down and I will heal, and their is no rescuer from My hand.”

רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם כָּל יָכוֹל אֲשֶׁר לֹא יִבָּצֵר מִמְּךָ מְזִימָה, זַכֵּנִי לִשְׂרֹף וְלִקְרֹעַ לִגְזָרִים אֶת כָּל הַבְּגָדִים הֲלֹא צְנוּעִים שֶׁיֵּשׁ לִי, כִּי רַק כָּךְ יִקָּרַע רֹעַ גְּזַר דִּינֵנוּ כִּי נִמְכַּרְנוּ כֻּלָּנוּ לְהַשְׁמִיד לַהֲרֹג וּלְאַבֵּד עַל יְדֵי אוֹיְבֵינוּ וּמְבַקְשֵׁי רָעָתֵנוּ, זַכֵּנִי לִהְיוֹת הָכִי צַדִּיקָה וְהָכִי קְדוֹשָׁה, שֶׁלְּעוֹלָם לֹא אַכְשִׁיל אֲחֵרִים. אָנָּא ה’ אֶחָד זַכֵּנִי לִהְיוֹת בַּת מֶלֶךְ אֲמִתִּית, זַכֵּנִי לָלֶכֶת בִּצְנִיעוּת אֲמִתִּית וְלֹא בִּשְׂמָלוֹת שֶׁלֹּא צְנוּעוֹת, שֶׁלֹּא יִתְגַּלֶּה שׁוּם אֵבֶר מֵהַגּוּף שֶׁלִּי, זַכֵּנִי לִזְרֹק אֶת כָּל הַבְּגָדִים שֶׁלֹּא מְכַסִּים אֶת כָּל אֹרֶךְ הָרֶגֶל, מְחַל וּסְלַח לִי שֶׁבִּגְלַל חֹסֶר צְנִיעוּת שֶׁהָלַכְתִּי עַד רֶגַע זֶה, קָרוּ כָּאֵלּוּ שְׁחִיטוֹת וּטְבִיחוֹת נוֹרָאוֹת שֶׁלֹּא הָיוּ מִזְּמַן הַשּׁוֹאָה שֶׁהָיְתָה לִפְנֵי 75 שָׁנָה, אֲנָא ה’ קַיֵּם בָּנוּ אֶת הַפָּסוּק “רְאוּ עַתָּה כִּי אֲנִי אֲנִי הוּא, וְאֵין אֱלֹהִים עִמָּדִי אֲנִי אָמִית וַאֲחַיֶּה מָחַצְתִּי וַאֲנִי אֶרְפָּא וְאֵין מִיָּדִי מַצִּיל”.
