Rabbi Yitzhak David Grossman is the Rav of Migdal HaEmek, and the head of the education network in Israel called ‘Migdal Or’, recently published a decisive statement to silence all the rumors circulating about Rav Eliezer Berland.
Rav Grossman said as follows:
“I personally spoke to Rav Yankele Meir Shechter, and he told me in a very meaningful, poignant way that he is praying for the success of Rav Berland, shlita. He also told me that he was very pained by everything that had transpired, and that the whole matter should be forgotten about as quickly as possible. Rav Shecter asked me to publicise that he has absolutely no part in this machloket [against Rav Berland.]”
Rav Grossman spoke out as a result of some of the latest activities of the evil group of people who have been persecuting Rav Berland for many years, already. In the latest shameful episode, the group publicized a statement that they claimed had been signed by some of the leading Breslev Rabbis, including Rav Shecter.
However, the statement had been falsified by this group, without the Rabbis’ knowledge. Rav Grossman decided to make this abundantly clear by publicizing the words of Rav Shecter, in an attempt to minimize the enormous amount of damage that had been done to Rav Berland and his community by the publication of this evil, false statement.
