10 Prayers From Rabbi Berland To Learn Torah
To mark Parshat Yitro, we’re very pleased to share with you 10 of Rabbi Eliezer Berland’s translated prayers on the subject of learning Torah.

Master of the world, grant me the merit to learn Torah day and night.
And through this, I will merit to feel the taste of the Garden of Eden. And through this, I will merit to faith and trust. And I will merit this year to fulfill the verse, “In the Lord I trusted, I will not fear.” And I will merit this year to in depth learning. And through this, I will merit this year to be a righteous one of the righteous ones.

Master of the world, All Powerful, You revealed to us through Mordechai and Ester that the Jews received Torah anew.
Thus, You should grant me as well to receive the Torah anew. And through this, ”Yaakov’s lily is joyful and happy.” Through the miracles that You did for them in Shushan, the secret of the verse, “An offering made by fire, of sweet fragrance to the Lord.” And through this, clothe me in beautiful clothing, in Elijah the Prophet’s cloak.
And through this, I will merit to receive all of Jerusalem, because You are honest and believed. And grant me the merit to be included in Israel, His nation. And through this, that I will kill myself in the tents of Torah, and I will learn Torah with a soul of purity, I will see in every moment the greatness of the Creator.
And through this, we will merit to the complete redemption, ”And the tribe of the kingship will come from the trunk of Yishai.”

Master of the world, All Powerful, that Your plan will not be diminished, please, O’ Merciful and Compassionate One, grant me the merit to learn Torah day and night.
And all of my desires should be to be only be grate wise man. And all of my actions will be to unify the name of the ”Holy One Blessed be He. And though this, I will merit love, companionship, and peace. And through this, I will merit that the soul of the Messiah the son of Yosef, the Messiah the son of David, will be complemented in me. That they will build the Holy Temple speedily in our days, like in the blink of an eye, amen, eternal, forever and always.

Master of the world, All Powerful, that Your plan will not be diminished, grant me the merit to learn Torah day and night.
And I will love all of my friends a true love, and I will honor all of them, and I will not hurt any friend, and I will be saved from arrogance.
Like it is written, ”Don’t allow an arrogant leg to come to me.” And I will merit that the verse, “My refuge and my fortress, my Lord, in Him I will trust,” should be established in me. And in this merit, I will merit to the level of angels.

Master of the world , Grant me the merit to leave all of my confusions.
Because You are All Powerful and Your plan will not be diminished. Since You are able to purify my mindset in the epitome of clarity and purity. Until I will merit to a holy and pure mindset, to a bright and extremely clear mindset, in the bright and clear lights. Until I will always see only the high and concealed lights that are before my eyes.
And my eyes will be holy and pure in the epitome of holiness and purity. Until I will merit to see holy and pure angels in front of my eyes always. And I will merit to a world that is all good, and is all lights, to a world of the wonderful lights. Like it is written, ”And illuminate our eyes in Your Torah.”
And I will merit to see the hidden lights that are in the letters of the Torah. And through this, I will merit to return the whole entire world to repentance. And through this, I will merit to illuminate in the root of their souls the wonderful lights that are drawn through the letters of the Torah, from the light of the seven days, the infinite light.
And through this, I will merit to return the whole entire world in repentance like in the blink of an eye, Amen. Master of the world, You know my bitter and tormented heart which ascended and entangled upon my neck from the day I stood on my own mindset until now.
Therefore, Master of mercy, hide me in Your wing’s concealment in mercy. And stop all of the bad thoughts from me, like it is written, ”Stop in anger, stop, and they will cease to exist,” and they will not come back to me forever.

Master of the world, All powerful, that Your plan will not be diminished from anything, and You are able to save me like in the blink of an eye.
Grant me the merit to worry about my soul that it is one of a kind and unique.
And I will merit to fix the sin of Adam and Eve, and to shine like Adam and Eve before the sin of the First Man. And I will merit to see in every moment and second in the kingship of G-d. Like it is written, ”When it will be said to Zion, your Lord reigned, G-d reigns, G-d reigned, G-d will reign forever and always.”
And I will merit to learn Torah day and night. Please G-d is One, please guard me in every moment and second like it’s written, “Behold, He will not rest and He will not sleep, keeper of Israel.” And I will be happy with G-d in every moment and second.
And I will be only filled with joy and happiness always, like it is written, ”Israel will be happy in His actions, the children of Zion will delight in their king.”

Master of the world, All powerful, that Your plan will not be diminished, grant me the merit to learn Torah day and night.
And through this we, my brothers and I, and all of our family will be modest and humble.

Master of the world, in the merit of learning Gemara, Mishnayos, Rambam, Tur Shulchan Aruch, Shitah Mekubetzes and of their commentators, Ramban, Rashba, Ritva, Meiri, the Vilna Gaon, Ketzos Hachoshen, and Nesivos Hamishpat, I will merit “to lengthened days of understanding.”
And I will no longer have any vice in this world, Heaven forbid.
And all of my days, I will yearn for the masters of the Talmud, the masters of the secret. And I will merit to learn a lot of Gemara, Tur Shulchan Aruch, Rambam, and of the their commentators. Eitz Chaim, Peri Eitzch Chaim, Zohar, and all of the writings of the Arizal.
And in this merit, I will merit to shine in the light of Torah, and to love You, and all of my friends. And to perform, ”And you will love your friend as you love yourself.” And all of the fallen loves will be switched only to the love of G-d.
And in this merit, we will merit to the complete redemption, like in the blink of an eye, Amen, forever, eternally eternal.

Master of the world, All Powerful, that Your plan will not be diminished, please roll Your mercy over Your character traits.
And grant me the merit, from this day forth to a holy body from the Garden of Eden, because You are a support and a trust for the righteous ones.
And in this merit, You should grant me the merit that I will switch to be an expert in the Gemara, and in the Torah law authorities (poskim), and I will merit to be a wonder to the public. And I will merit to hear the voice of the Creator and the Leader of all the creations. And grant me the merit to switch to be a man of understandings, to be a man of comprehension regarding the ocean of the Talmud, the vast place.
And all will be for the honor of Moshe the son of Amram.

Master of the world, All Powerful, that Your plan will not be diminished, please have mercy upon ”a worm and not a man, a shamed man and a scorned nation” like me.
“All of those who see me will make fun of me, they will open their lips and shake their heads.” And through this, I will merit to the first blows to the evil forces that are in the numerical value of [the acronym of the ten plagues which are] דצ”ך 114, עד”ש 374, באח”ב 13.
And I will merit in the merit of learning the Shas, to call to the holy Devine Presence, that it will look upon me in a wise eye, day and night. And in the merit of learning Torah day and night, I should merit to taste the Garden of Eden.
And I should merit to live a long life like Shem that merited to live in the Garden of G-d after he attended the funeral procession of Sarah our foremother.
And he was there until Yaakov reached the age of fifty, and he was 500 (Shem) and then he comprehended the fiftieth gate.
1. Maître du monde, accorde-moi le mérite d’apprendre la Torah jour et nuit.
Et à travers ceci, je mériterai de sentir le goût du Gan Éden. Et à travers ceci, je mériterai la foi et la confiance. Et je mériterai cette année d’accomplir le verset, “en l’Éternel j’avais confiance, je n’aurai pas peur.” Et je mériterai cette année l’étude en profondeur. Et à travers ceci, je mériterai cette année d’être quelqu’un de juste parmi les justes.

2. Maître du monde, Tout-Puissant, Tu révélas à nous à travers Mordechai et Esther que les juifs reçurent la Torah à nouveau.
Ainsi, Tu devrais m’accorder de bien recevoir la Torah à nouveau. Et par ceci, ”Le lys de Yaakov est joyeux et heureux”. Et tous mes désirs devraient être d’être seulement un grand homme sage. Et toutes mes actions seraient pour unifier le Nom du ”Saint Béni Soit-Il”. Et à travers ceci, je mériterai l’amour, camaraderie et paix. Et à travers ceci, je mériterai que l’âme de Machiah ben Yosef, Machiah ben David, seraient être complétée en moi. Qu’ils construiront le Saint Temple rapidement de nos jours, comme en un clin d’œil, Amen, Netzach (éternel), Selah (pour toujours) , Va’ed (et à jamais).

4. Maître du monde, Tout-puissant, que Ton plan ne serait être diminué, accorde-moi le mérite d’étudier la Torah jour et nuit.
Et j’aimerai tous mes amis d’un vrai amour, et je les honorerai tous, et je ne blesserai aucun ami, et je serai sauvé de l’arrogance.
Comme c’est écrit, ”Ne permets pas la jambe d’un arrogant de venir à moi”. Et je mériterai que le verset, “Mon refuge et ma forteresse, mon Éternel, en Lui j’aurai confiance,” devrait être établi en moi. Et par ce mérite, je mériterai le niveau des anges.

5. Maître du monde, accorde-moi le mérite de quitter toutes mes confusions.
Car Tu es Tout-Puissant et Ton plan ne serait être diminué. Depuis que tu es capable de purifier mon état d’esprit dans la quintessence de clarté et pureté. Jusqu’à que je mériterai un saint et pure état d’esprit vers un brillant et extrêmement état d’esprit claire, dans les lumières lumineuses et claires. Jusqu’à que je verrai toujours seulement les lumières supérieures et cachée qui sont devant mes yeux.
Et mes yeux seront saints et pures dans la quintessence de la sainteté et pureté. Jusqu’à que je mériterai de voit des anges saints et pures en face de mes yeux toujours. Et je mériterai d’un monde qui est tout bon, et tout est lumières, vers un monde de merveilleuses lumières. Comme c’est écrit, ”Et illumine tes yeux dans Ta Torah.”
Et je mériterai de voir les lumières cachées qui sont dans les lettres de la Torah. Et à travers ceci, je mériterai de retourner le monde entier au repentir. Et à travers ceci, je mériterai d’illuminer la racine de leurs âmes les lumières merveilleuses qui sont descendues à travers les lettres de la Torah, depuis la lumière des sept jours, la lumière infinie.
Et à travers ceci, je mériterai de retourner le monde entier en repentance comme en un clin d’œil, Amen.
Maître du monde, Tu connais mon cœur amère et tourmenté qui monta et etrangla sur ma nuque depuis le jour que je me maintins avec mon propre état d’esprit jusqu’à maintenant.
Par conséquent, Maître de miséricorde, cache-moi dans Tes ailes de dissimulation en miséricorde. Et arrête toutes les mauvaises pensées en moi, comme c’est écrit, ”S’arrêter en colère, arrêter, et elles cesseront d’exister,” et elles ne reviendront plus vers moi pour toujours.

6. Maître du monde, Tout-Puissant, que Ton plan ne serait être diminué d’aucune chose, et Tu es capable de me sauver comme en un clin d’œil.
Accorde-moi le mérite de m’inquiéter à propos de mon âme qu’elle est unique en son genre.
Et je mériterai de réparer la faute d’Adam et d’Ève, et de briller comme Adam et Ève avant la faute du Premier Homme. Et je mériterai de voir à chaque moment et seconde dans la royauté de D.ieu. Et je serai rempli avec joie et bonheur toujours, comme c’est écrit, ”Yisrael sera heureux dans Ses actions, les enfants de Tzion se réjouira en son roi.”

7. Maître du monde, Tout-puissant, que Ton plan ne serait être diminué, accorde-moi le mérite d’étudier la Torah jour et nuit.
Et à travers ceci nous, mes frères et moi, et tout notre famille seront être modestes et humbles.

Je n’aurai plus aucun vice de ce monde, D.ieu nous en garde.
Et tous mes jours, j’aspirerai pour les maîtres du Talmud, les maîtres du secret. Et je mériterai d’apprendre beaucoup de Gemara, Tur Shulchan Aruch, Rambam, et leurs commentateurs. Eitz Chaim, Peri Eitzch Chaim, Zohar, et tous les écrits du Arizal.
Et par ce mérite, je mériterai de briller de la lumière de la Torah, et de T’aimer, et tous mes amis. Et de performer, ”Et tu aimeras ton ami comme tu aimes toi-même.” Et tous les amours déchus seront basculés seulement pour l’amour de D.ieu.
Et par ce mérite, nous meriterons une complète rédemption, comme en un clin d’œil, Amen, Netzach, Selah, Va’ed.

9. Maître du monde, Tout-Puissant, que Ton plan ne serait être diminué, S’il Te plaît, retourne Ta miséricorde sur Tes traits de caractères.
Et accorde-moi le mérite, désormais un corps saint du Gan Éden, car Tu es un support et une confiance pour les justes.
Et par ce mérite, Tu devrais m’accorder le mérite que je basculerai pour être un expert dans la Gemara, et dans la Torah loi et décisionnaires (poskim), et je mériterai d’être une merveille au public. Et je mériterai d’entendre la voix du Créateur et le Leader de toutes les créations. Et accorde-moi le mériter de basculer pour être un homme de connaissances, d’être un homme de compréhension en matière de l’océan du Talmud, la vaste place.

“Tous ceux qui me vois s’amusent de moi, ils ouvriront leurs lèvres et bougeront leurs têtes.” Et à travers ceci, je mériterai les premiers coups aux des forces du mal qui ont la valeur numérique de [l’acronyme des dix plaies qui sont] דצ”ך 114, עד”ש 374, באח”ב 13.
Et je mériterai par le mérite de l’apprentissage du Shas, d’appeler la Sainte Présence Divine, qu’elle me regardera d’un œil avisé, jour et nuit. Et par le mérite de l’étude de la Torah jour et nuit, je devrais mériter de goûter au Gan Éden.
Et je devrais mériter de vivre une longue vie comme Shem qui mérita de vivre dans le Jardin de D.ieu après qu’il assista aux funérailles de Sarah Imenou.
Et il était là jusqu’à que Yaakov atteignit l’âge de cinquante, et il avait 500 (Shem) et ensuite il appréhenda la cinquantième porte.
