Rav Moshe Tzanani shlit”a in a holy call for the important fundraising appeal for the rescue of our Rebbe Rav Berland shlit”a:
“All of our strength is from Yosef HaTzaddik. This is the oil container of Chanukah, also during these times when there is a mighty way…the Other Side, the same aspect of the Greek Empire.
“Our Rebbe the Rav has entered a mighty war — the question is how we can help him in this mighty war. So, as the Rav said, to say 7 Tikun Klalis, and also the matter of helping him financially with what he needs.
“There is nothing to do. There are all types of necessities and all types of things, whether this is help in all the court cases, in the detention alternatives [house arrest], all the matters which mamash are necessary. We are mamash found in such a situation where all the funds are gone.
“Especially during these days of Chanukah which are days of Tzedaka (charity), through giving Tzedaka a person mamash merits to benefits which give one vitality and bounty… one will have salvation in all one’s matters through Tzedaka for the matters of the Tzaddik — this is mamash obligatory.
“It’s forbidden for me to detail, but the situation is hard.
“Whoever can contribute for this cause, I am sure that this will certainly help him in all matters during these holy days.”
